Dean directs the firm’s business valuation, forensic accounting and litigation support services and provides advanced tax planning and compliance services to clients in various industries. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), and a Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF). He testifies regularly as an expert witness with experience in matrimonial litigation, lost profits and other business litigation matters. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Linfield College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1989. Dean is active in community organizations including Exchange, Toastmasters International, various youth sports organizations and the Salem Basketball Officials Association where he officiates basketball for area high schools. Stephen was born and raised in Salem, Oregon where he graduated from Douglass McKay High School in 1986. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with an emphasis in foreign language from Missouri State University in 1993 and his Masters of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 2006. He is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA). He has served as treasurer on various community service organization boards and chaired their finance committees. He is also the current treasurer and member of the Salem Basketball Officials Association where he engages in officiating basketball for the area schools. He has been married to his wife Delia since 1996 and has two daughters. Away from the office he enjoys hiking, mountain biking, boating, camping, fishing and spending time with his family.
